The high point of my life occurred when I joined a dermatology office to assist one of the doctors in the practice. Observing the doctor adeptly and assertively helping other people, I was determined that my future would be in the medical field. With this desire in mind, I shadowed a dermatologist, dentist, optometrist, and physical therapist, but dentistry is the one that charmed my interest.

The Long Journey
to Our Practice
The place where I came from (Kathmandu, Nepal) is dentally underserved. I eventually shadowed a pair of dentists, one of whom specialized in anesthesiology, so I got a chance to observe sedation, root canals, bleaching, and other techniques. I was astonished while witnessing the equipment and developments within this field. I was mesmerized, and it was my eagerness to learn more that made me assertive to choose the field of dentistry.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
“I enjoy traveling (especially to see family in Nepal), dancing, reading, and spending time with my husband and baby daughter. I am computer savvy and like to keep up with the latest technology trends and gadgets. My favorite cuisines are ethnic Nepali/Indian and Italian food. I love watching movies—I’m an AMC A-list Movie Member! I am also an avid Harry Potter fan.”
