Guardian Coverage Availability & Fees
Guardian dental insurance has been helping people take better care of their smiles for decades. As a trusted company, Guardian offers policyholders the opportunity to enjoy lower out-of-pocket costs for the services they receive.
There are different plans available based on the criteria you are looking for in a dental insurance plan. Whether it is keeping your deductible low, incorporating orthodontia, or receiving robust coverage with a higher annual maximum limit, there is a plan that is right for you.
Guardian offers four PPO plans individuals and families can choose from Diamond, Achiever, Core, and Starter. Each has a different monthly premium, deductible, and annual maximum; however, many of the coverage levels look like the following:
- 80-100% preventive care (i.e., oral exams)
- 50-80% minor restorative services (i.e., dental fillings)
- 50% major restorative services (i.e., dental crowns)
- The Starter Plan does not offer coverage for major restorative services, implants and dentures, teeth whitening, or orthodontia
- 50% dental implants and dentures (only available with the Diamond, Achiever, and Core Plans)
- 50% orthodontia (only available with the Diamond and Achiever Plans)
- 50% teeth whitening (only available with the Diamond Plan)
You will notice your preventive care (i.e., dental checkups and cleanings) will cost you little to nothing out of pocket. As a result, you can avoid more serious problems year after year. However, should an issue arise, you can save the most when you choose to see a dentist who is in-network with Guardian. Their pre-negotiated fees and services will guarantee you pay the lowest possible price.
While it is not required that you visit an in-network professional, you will find that you will save more for your oral healthcare. If we are out of network, you can still expect the same great service, but you’ll likely be responsible for more of the upfront cost.
